Sara Penney DOMP, RMT,
Sara graduated with honors from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, Cambridge in 2011. She accumulated hours in sports therapy working with athletes of the University of Waterloo, as well as participated in various sporting events such as the Horror Hill run, Run for the Cure and Dragon Boat races. Since completing her registration, Sara has experience working in both clinical and spa settings. She also chose to further her education with the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto, and defended her thesis in 2018. She is now a fully credited DScO DOMP.
During her years of practice, Sara has completed a number of continuing education courses including muscle energy, strain-counterstrain, craniosacral, and visceral (organ) manipulation. She strives to find balance between symptom management while treating the client’s primary concerns. Her treatments incorporate a thorough structural assessment of the affected regions, as well as fascial (connective tissue) and various massage techniques to help the body return to its normal function.
In her spare time, Sara enjoys staying active with various activities including hiking, rock climbing, swimming and martial arts. She also had the opportunity to practice massage on acute conditions within these activities on a number of occasions
